Regardless of the length of validity of a EUDCC or an NHS covid pass, Spain have yet to announce the new travel regulations and exactly what will be required for entry into Spain after 31 Jan
Current regulations are set to be updated in the next couple of days. Wait for the BOE.

If you are in England, call 119 to ask about the missing info on your NHS app. I don't know the numbers for the other UK countries but you will be able to find out via Google.

Hi Aitch, my 2nd dose was in March, so out of date, had a booster in November BUT Wales are not updating their records until anytime up to end of February !!!

I agree Karen its totally bonkers. I'm afraid too many governments have used this power to remove our freedoms and control who we can see, where we can go and as you say who knows whether what is in this vaccines will harm us in the future. My hairdresser had an extreme case of eczema on one of his hands 6 weeks ago, he finally got a telephone call with his doctor, who on seeing his hand after he sent photos to her, was extremely concerned, he was put on high dose Anti-biotics, he then got the same on one of his feet, he saw the nurse who said to him how many vaccines have you had ? He said 3 as he works with the public. She said I shouldn't say this but don't have another. There are 80,000 NHS staff who haven't had one jab, doctors and nurses included, I ask myself why is that and the fact they would even protest on the streets of London. The virus was man made, there's more than enough evidence about that. Some scientists are already talking about what will be the next virus to arrive. They too have been given far too much say and the scientists who had serious concerns about what was happening, never got on the TV again to put their view point. We had the 3,-4,000 deaths a day predictions, which never came true. The reason they want all our data is to control populations even more. Where we go, spend our money, travel to etc. Thats why they want us all to use cards, Macron has become a dictator, how long the French will put up with it ????
Last night 9pm, there was a very good programme on BBC2 about how the 2008 crash happened. "The decade the rich won" The amounts of money the Bank of England gave to prop up the Banks, was trillions of £££££?s eye wateing, staggering amounts and since then only the very rich have continued to get even richer and the rest of us poorer and poorer. Including a young stock exchange trader on how he made millions. Very interesting and worth watching on Iplayer or catch-up TV. You just cannot trust any Bank or government.

I'm beginning to wish I'd never had the vaccinations now but too late. Both me and my husband have said we're not having any more but then they get you by taking things away and stopping you from doing certain things like travel. We never wanted to be vaccinated but felt under pressure because of our ages and having a second European home plus all the confusing and frankly quite scary media reports etc. do I think we are being controlled and monitored...yes I think I do now and it's not very nice knowing total strangers have the power to know almost everything about you. I'm not keen on this world anymore nothing good is going to come of all this. I lost family members to covid back in the beginning and feel bitter about how everything was handled by the government and all their minions. I just want to live my last years visiting my beautiful Spanish home in the mountains without aggravation but that's looking less likely as everyone in power is making life harder and harder for us all. Sorry rant over but absolutely get where your coming from and thanks for the insight

Totally agree. The WHO has now come out to say that we cannot continue with boosters, a new vaccine is needed. An EU funded study showed general immunity is reduced with multiple vaccines. The effect of the present vaccines on old variants lasted (deaths reduced) 10 weeks. ONS have now come out confirming that (freedom of information request) approximately 10% of people dying WITH Covid, died FROM Covid (no other illnesses). 12000 deaths from Covid in 2020. Every year on average, 25000 people die from flu and pneumonia.
And - as you say - the wealthier have got considerably wealthier. Last time I looked, 500000 businesses had gone bust in the UK due to lock-downs.
What is the end game?

Back peddling now. I doublt it will happen. Big problems with waiting in hospitals as 10% of care-staff (unvaccinated) staff was sacked.

...ere's is no joined up thinking even within the EU. The Austrian government are acting like the gestapo, they are going to send the police round to homes where the persons are not vaccinated or had their 3rd jab. Huge fines if you don't comply, but what if you can't or won't pay, round them up and put them in a camp? This is going way to far imho. It's crazy people don't need to keep being jabbed every 6-9 months and how are these governments going to afford it? The vaccines either work or they don't. Vaccines are supposed to protect the person not others. If you have a vaccine say against yellow fever or hepartitis, the vaccine prevents you from contracting it.
In the UK 70,000 NHS staff including many doctors and nurses have not had any covid vaccine. A big protest was held in London last week. Despite being threatened with losing their jobs, so you have to wonder why??? The NHS can't afford to lose any staff. There's already over 100,000 vacancies in the NHS. They can't attract staff for love nor money.
There is going to need a re-think as else no-one will be going anywhere.
Israel is near 100% vaccinated. Their Covid rates have shot up, and they are now vaccinating for the 4th time.
It is interesting to see which countries have implemented gestapo-like governance. Brings back memories of the 1930s-1940s?

Attached is from the Schengen website, the Spanish Government may not have announced it through their formal channels yet but it looks like it will happen.
But as you say, let's wait for the official confirmation.

it is not really that difficult to travel to Spain, we are here now and apart from filling in a form and wearing a mask it's pretty much the same as ever. The covid vaccines have helped enable travel and as you have had all three there are no restrictions to coming to Spain from the UK. The UK government are even dropping the requirement to have a day 2 test from next month, so no tests from then on in either direction. So much for the excessive controls that some people seem paranoid about!
Best ignore the doom and gloom merchants and get on with enjoying your life.

Covid rates have shot up all over due to the Omicron variant being so easily transmissible. What the vaccines have done, in Israel and other countries, is prevent deaths shooting up in sync with infections. I see more countries starting to ease covid restrictions than there are increasing them.
