What are the requirements travelling from Rosslare in Ireland on Brittany Ferries to Bilbao.  All the questions and answers seem to be travel from UK to Spain.  We are due to depart on wed 16 June. My husband is fully vaccinated but i only have one dose.  I would appreciate any help in this matter.  Thank you in anticipation.

Kind regards

Teresa

Hi you should do your best to get fully vaccinated before traveling as Spain is slow with vaccinations . Will you be  registered in Spain to receive the booster ? People in the system there are impatient waiting for the call .

Have you checked the Irish government advice on travel to Spain?

266 people were fined €2000 in the months of May and June…at ports and airports….so you would want to be sure your reason for travel is essential …

Currently I cannot travel to Spain due to lockdown restrictions. Although I have my own apartment there, that’s not a valid reason to travel there. I will wait til I’ve my second vaccine and can then avail of a Vaccine Digital cert!

Not worth the hassle or worry travelling for now.

Hi Teresa, the rules for entering Spain from another European country changed on 7th June. There are 3 criteria and you must fulfill 1 of them. They are 1. Be fully vaccinated 2. Have negative pcr-test result or 3. Have recovered from Covid. Obviously you have to support these with official proof. Also you need to fill in SPTH, passenger locator form for Spain. If you Google it you'll find it. I attached info, it's from Ryanair website but it applies to all forms of entry to Spain. Best of luck, Trisha

Hi Trisha. Thank you so much for all the information. It is most helpful. I have cancelled the ferry trip and instead flying out to Alicante on 19 July. I am fully vccinated now  so all I need now so to fill up the passenger locator form.  Stay safe  and thanks for your time in replying. xxx
