Hirecarsinspain have just informed me that the petrol station that is right by Alicante airport has closed down. So if you hire a car and couse full full petrol option you will need to use the repsol petrol station in El ALTET, follow the N332a

Yes definitely closed. I picked up this weekend and they said the same.
I go via San Miguel and the A7 and use the Area Del Elche services so doesn't affect me.

I fill up in Santa Pola or gran alacant never had any problems when taking car back
The Essence Co app in the Android Play Store shows numerous fuel stations within a very short distance from the airport and with prices.
Also available for the poor misguide souls who have hitched their waggons to CrApple devices 😜
Don't be put off by it being French!
No fuel gauge on any typical hire car is going to register that you've driven 10 or even 20km after filling up!
