Is it allowed as a British passport holder and also a TIE to use the EU passport lane when coming into Spain?  Has anyone done that?  Thanks for your input.

No.

The clue is 'UK Passport'!

Even couples where one is an EU passport holder should use the designated lanes.

That said if an airport were quiet with not too many passengers passing through immigration you could try your luck.

The official answer is the non EU passport lane. I make a point of putting my TIE card on top of my passport and telling the officer I have residencia, to avoid accidental stamping!

As you do not hold a EU, EEA or CH passport you join the 'all other passport ' queue. Another Brexit benefit.

If you are a UK passport holder married to an EU passport owner and wish to avail the right under EU law of espousal rights you should join your EU spouse in the EU lane. I’m an EU citizen and my spouse is a UK citizen we were directed through the EU lane on our last visit through Murcia Covera Airport.

... Airport.

Thank you all for your replies.  I will take a chance on the EU lane next time and see what happens.
