I feel like a fish out of water here.
Am I the only one around here who isn't addicted to karaoke or "pub singers" churning out the same old stuff regardless of where you go?
Hoping to meet/find any people who could meet up at Monroe's Rock pub in Torrevieja (or anywhere similar) to hang out and hear some decent music.

There's plenty of live bands/artists around and about and most of them, and the venues have pages on Facebook...
Since you're in Cabo Roig, checkout The Bushwacka - you'll find a band called The Cages on Saturday nights, they're excellent, and very easy on the eye! They are also at the Lucky Lion tonight, weather permitting. Great variety of songs Fleetwood Mac/Queen/Heart and loads more.
Also check out Sly Saloon (classic rock) who played in the Cabo Roig Inn last night (kinda next door to KFC). I think they're in Rincon de Sam (Torrevieja) on Wednesday afternoons, but I may have the wrong day. Also in Rincon, Forever Young on Saturday afternoons, if you like Bob Dylan/Neil Young type music.
A little further away, there's The Abbey Tavern in La Florida, they recently had an AC/DC tribute band, and BlackNight often play there, also Flashback.
In Punta Prima there's Taberna Marco Polo, which has entertainment most nights. Checkout Gallus on Saturday nights, from Rag n Bone Man, to Pearl Jam to Zep - quite varied!
In LA Zenia, Paddy's Point have lots of music, I think The Cages do one night a week.
That should get you started!

Hi Steve and thanks for the reply. I've tried the Abbey a few times.............obviously just hit the wrong nights I suppose. Not overly struck on Cages (but I see what you mean about the "easy" bit ). I missed the AC/Dc night as I had nobody to go with (same problem as always around here) and knowing how cliquey some places are I didn't fancy going on my own.
I'll check the others out but, due to work schedules, it'll have to be Friday/Saturdays only.

I'm into all type of rock music (been on plenty of brilliant bikers rallies) but I don't live close to Torrevieja!

Stray sod in la Fuente has a few different artists as well as the cages. Kolted were good but I think Che is solo now who was their singer.
