Hi everyone ...... this is a long shot but we plan to return to cabo Roig next July/August time flying from DUBLIN,  Ireland however there are no flights listed as yet and accommodation is filling up for where we want.......would anyone have any idea what days Air Lingus or Ryanair fly to Murcia San Javiar at this time of year? I don't want to lose our chance of accommodation.

Many thanks

At this time of year there are daily flights between Dublin and Murcia, but even the airlines won't know about next summer.

As there's always Alicante to fall back on, I'd book your accommodation and wait for the airlines to release their summer schedules.

There is no way of knowing what the airlines are planning for next year and it is not safe to assume that they will do the same as this year. Best advice is to get your accommodation sorted then keep an eye out for when the airlines are releasing their new dates as you will probably get the best price if you book early when they are available. The great thing about Cabo Roig and La Zenia is that is ideally located between Murcia and Alicante airports which gives you more choice.

I don't know what the latest is, but they were talking about closing the Murcia airport down once the new one is operational. If that does happen, the journey time between the new airport and Cabo Roig will not be much different to Alicante Cabo Roig anyway.

PErsonally as advised, I'd book the accommodation and get flights sorted after.

The new Airport has been ready for about five years and there is still no sign of it opening. Given the size of the task of closing the existing Murcia Airport and opening the new Corvera Airport, the opposition to the new airport and the costs involved it is unlikely that this will go ahead in the short term. Airlines will release their new flights in due course and any possible change to routes will be known well in advance.
