Re-scheduled price difference

Ryan Air today changed my outbound flight from 12th Oct to 11th but the new flight doesn’t get to Alicante till 21.55 and I don’t fancy driving to our apartment in the dark so requested to change the flight to Saturday 10th Oct. That was all sorted via the live chat but the new flight is, surprisingly, cheaper than we originally paid. I asked if I would be reimbursed the difference but was told NO, I could re-schedule for free or get a refund. I thought I had read somewhere on the forum that someone had been refunded the difference in price?? Am I imagining this or is it just wishful thinking? We also originally paid to pre-book our seats but on the live chat they offered me two seats nowhere near each other. It was only when I asked that my fee for pre- booking seats to be refunded that magically two seats together were found! Enjoy the sunshine folks and continue to be vigilant.

They changed my flight by one day so they offered me a full refund or a voucher. I could also accept the schedule change as it still suited me.

I noticed that rebooking the flights they were offering as a complete new booking we would save £80 for myself and my wife. We did this and accepted a full refund on the original booking. This'll take few weeks to receive but it's in a credit card anyway.

You can't receive the difference back if you accept their offer of a change of flight.

We need to be smarter than them😁
