Barry, I was so sorry to hear this. Please accept my sincere condolences at this awful time.

I'm unable to assist you but I do hope that someone close by will extend an offer to get you over to Madrid.

Kindest regards, Steve

Hi Barry, I am very sorry for you lost.

I called Renfe and they told me that there are two trains departing daily from Alicante to Madrid Atocha train Station, the first at 6am and the second one at 15:45, both take abou 2h and 20 minutes approx. to get there, once there you will have to take another one (cercanías is called) from the same Station (Atocha) to the airport, they told me that there are 3 or 4 trains departing every hour and it takes 18 minutes approx to get to the airport.

I have not be able to speak with Alsa over the phone but in the website it shows that there is a coach that departs a 23:00 from Torrevieja and arrives at Barajas Airport at 5:55am, althoug it says that this service is suspended.

Either way I suggest you to go personally to the trains Station or Bus Station to mske sure you get the correct infirmation. If you need anyone to help with this matters I will be happy to help.

Best regards Antonio

So sorry to hear your sad news. It must be even harder for you being so far away. I hope you manage to get back and I love that strangers are helping you find the information you need x
