The airport should be open, as it is today, but check with your flight operator to check your flight hasn't been cancelled.

If you're with Jet 2 then it's already been cancelled.

Spanish authorities have today told hotels/campsites/ caravan sites to close by 24th March (FCO info), so you would imagine all foreign nationals currently here would need access to flights home, so to  keep airports open makes sense, but it is Spain!

Hi James, when I heard this new action, I was stunned as where do they expect the people staying in these accomodations go to next? If their flights are cancelled what do the government expect them to do? It seems there's going to be a lot of homeless people on the streets and caravans cant ferry back to the Uk if ferries have reduced their schedules. Doesn't seem a responsible course of action to me.

Regards

Pauline.

Hmmm... not sure how to interpret or believe the info from  UK’s FCO, yesterday my alerts from them specifically mentioned the date of the 24th March that hotels/campsites caravan parks were to close, today their info is these places are to close ‘in the coming days’.
