I never bothered to get notarised copies or permiso and tarjeta - the originals are no good to anyone. The only notarised copies I carry in our cars are for our passports.
Notaries are free to charge whatever they want for notarising a copy (copia compulsada), but expect €4 to €8 per copy.

Hi this does worry me also ,, do you have to get it done every year ?? Obviously insurance ect changes every year??

The policy itself doesn't change each year. All you need is proof of payment, and you just download that receipt from online banking.
Even then, you don't really need it, as traffic police can check online if the insurance is up to date.

I don't paper copy (in car) insurance as above accepted (mobile copy eg:). V

Hi Ray we have had our passports notarised with a solicitor at La Zenia near the Bassus German bar, think it was about 8 euros. Hope that was helpful
Hi Jean Never gave Passports a thought Till Jim mentioned on Forum My wife carries them around with her all the while.probably get it done so she can carry more of my essentials in bag then thanks.
