Car polish

It is never advisable to polish a hot car, full stop. You will end up with swirls and holograms. I have detailed cars for many years and know the consequences of this!

When you say polish.... you do realise polish just reflect the surface on which the polish is put on to? If you have a 'crappy' base (please excuse the language) then the polish will make little difference. In most cases, it is actually the lacquer which is in need of repair. You then need a cutting compound to get the damage removed and you can then further add protection and polish. All sounds too complicated reading it back! It really isn't!  Search on Youtube and you will find oodles of helpful videos.

That aside... IF you have to polish...

It is advisable to get the car in as much shade as possible for as long as possible. If you are struggling to get the car cool enough then my suggested product is AutoGlym Super Resin Polish. 

Going against all what I wrote above, albeit it in the UK, I have used this product to spot polish on occasion. It is not ideal, but sometimes needs to be done.

Ukhandyman thanks for replying I am actually this morning polishing my wife’s car with Auto Glym Ultra deep shine.it is awkward as it is only19deg but sunny. I was hoping to work on the car in SPAIN December when I come out the car is 3.5 yrs old I have found cleaners eg Maguiers etc in U.K. but only travel light so did not want to go through the process of a large case to bring out.have to make enquires out thier with car valeters? See what they can do I know one inFuente he’s the only one I’ve noticed.

Meguiars are my products of choice, along with a select few Chemical Guys products.

I believe you can get Autoglym and Meguiars on Amazon.es (Prime account is only €30ish per year and well worth the investment)

There are car places dotted about also. I know of one near Carrefour in Elche that stocks both products.

have you seen the ads for that miracle polish that the water and dirt just run off...i have a black car in the campo and it gets dirty real quick...will this work?
