I've been to the 1 near Mercadona but they only do private lessons NOT open classes. I used to dance ( 24 years ago in the UK) ballroom and latin . Does anyone have any ideas where I could refresh my steps??

Try Everybody’s Gym in Campoamor. Near marina. They do lots of different dance classes.

Hi, we do private lessons on request but you can come along to the beginners or intermediate classes to refresh your steps or the practice/social evenings on Fridays where I will help you to try to remember some things that you already know. However, we have just closed until the first week in September as the clients thought it was too hot for dancing so we restart on Wednesday 5th September and Friday 7th September.
Dancing - Ballroom, Latin, Sequence and Argentine Tango
Friday - Social Dance - Ballroom, Latin and Sequence 8pm - 10.30pm
Wednesday - Classes - Ballroom, Latin and Argentine Tango
New Beginners Class 11am – 12pm
Intermediate Class 12pm – 13.00pm
All the above are held at El Paraiso Restaurant, Urbanisation Jardin del Mar, Torrevieja [near McDonalds and Carrefour]
Never danced before, not a problem, come along 11am Wednesday mornings and have a go, it is fun and you will meet like minded people. You will be surprised at how quickly you are dancing.

Just adding a PS to above note. I think you will find all the dance classes and Social dances have closed now for the summer.
I've now discovered that but it's nice that people have sent me information on possible venues . Thanks

Hi,
Derek also runs a Social dance in the same venue as we run our Friday Social Dance [El Paraiso]. Derek's dance is on a Tuesday evening 8pm - 10.30pm. However, that is closed now until September. Best wishes,
