Today brings to end the 14 day Quarantine rule for arrivals into the UK.

Passengers arriving from up to 75 exempted countries and dependencies will now no longer be required to self isolate for two weeks following their arrival into the UK. Completion of Locator forms will still be Mandatory.

Apparently Scotland have ammended their list to exclude arrivals from Spain ,stating excessive contagion within Spain, meaning arrivals from that  country will still be required to Quarantine for 14 days . They will Review the situation over the next two weeks.

On another note, as from today, in Scotland, face coverings become mandatory when entering shops

First minister of Scotland has a thing about Spain, SNP are supporters of the Catalonia independence movement so it’s political to make visitors from Spain still quarantine nothing to do with Co-Vid!

She definately appears to be relishing the opportunity provided during the pandemic to appear Stateswoman like with her daily televised briefings .

She has taken every available opportunity open to her to differ from Westminster in dealings and instructions relating to Covid 19, and this one is the latest in a long list of them .

Her stated ultimate goal,of course, being to gain Independance from the UK .

What a load of dribble! Maybe something to do with the lockdowns here and that our figures have been going up? This is your assumption so please don’t make it a statement! Why make this post political? Scotland has always been two weeks behind England regarding covid so yes they are always behind England’s decisions! But hey if I was in the uk I think I would prefer a leader who gave clear information and direction. Oh and by the way Scotland is nearly covid free I wonder why that is!
