Face masks
From the 26th June face masks will not be compulsory outside. Thank goodness. Wearing it under my chin was given me a rash.

Thanks Geoffro. Only 2 days ago, El Pais was reporting that no date had been agreed. It may take me a while to get out of the habit of having one around my elbow on my early morning walks!

I´m not so sure, Steve, especially since the WHO re-categorised the virus as "airborne" because of its transmission by the aerosol emitted from infected people. However, even though we know that temperature extremes don´t kill the virus, the aerosol does evaporate quicker in the warmer weather, so I´m pleased they´re doing this as we go into summer. The test will be whether people remember to have a mask to hand if they want a post-exercise tipple! ;o)
Patricia Gómez has welcomed the Spanish government's proposal to end the compulsory wearing of masks outdoors.
"I would like to tell you that we are going to hold an extraordinary council of ministers (cabinet) meeting next Thursday at which we are going to propose that masks in outdoor spaces will not be mandatory from Saturday, June 26. This will be the last weekend with masks in the open air. Our streets, our faces will begin to regain their normal appearance in the coming days."

Not official yet as The Spanish President Pedro Sánchez announces the end of wearing masks outdoors, this will be from June 26th. (as long as the distance of 1.5m is maintained) An extraordinary Council of Ministers will be held on Thursday, June 24th, that will approve the modification of the new normal law that required the use of protection so we wait and see
