I recall seeing someone on the forum had arranged for IKEA to deliver sofa(s) on

a specific date to tie in with their moving in .  I can't remember which discussion board this was and whether it was successful,.  I need to buy several large household items eg beds, sofas, table , chairs and kitchen items like crockery etc for holiday home in Cabo Roig .  .   As I am not driving over here it's proving challenging .    I am just wondering whether the person who had the IKEA delivery was happy and did it turn up on the allotted day ?   Any info on this topic would be very welcome and thanks in advance !   Jenny

Hi we had the IKEA delivery back in April, we used a company called easyflatpax.com. they were really good we ordered everything and they basically did the shopping and delivered it on the day they said ! It was so worth it as saved us the hassle of hiring a van etc, would definitely recommend them ! Hope this helps

Hi I’m not that person but we have had two deliveries from Ikea in Murcia and both have been on time. They unload the boxes into your house but you will need to get rid of the packing yourself. Also the cost of delivery is quite high. They do offer the alternative of being able to hire one of their vans if you know anyone that could drive for you.

Thank you so much for replying both !!   I don't have a van or access to one so will look at both options of getting delivered but it is extremely helpful to know that they deliver on time as I'm not here all the time .   I'm wondering if it is worth getting the lot done in one go ie will delivery charges be lower for one trip rather than several .    Thank you again for both replies : it has made furnishing house less daunting !!!!

I’m not whole sure but I seem to recall that there was a charge per item as opposed to per load. However whether there is a minimum charge that would mean more items would be cheaper I don’t know. All our things were really big so we would not have been able to manage any other way.

I've had 2 deliveries from Ikea. Beds etc.first was 2 hours early, second on time.3 hour time slot.

€49 euro on weekday, €69 at weekend.

They called me 5 mins away, you may need a Spanish speaker if they can't find your door

Will IKEA carry item to required room (eg upstairs bedroom) and unpack?   I’m guessing they wouldn’t take away old furniture?

I do know when we were shopping in IKEA there was a coupe asking for delivery and IKEA wanted to see their passport, so if you go shopping there I would take your passport and NIE to be on the safe side.
