Good news for those wanting to travel to their holiday homes but while Sanchez says "international tourists" it does not follow that it means from all countries, it could be only from countries that have had an effective response to the Covid19 Crisis and lowered infections and deaths, it does not follow that this will include the U.K. we will have to wait for more details in the coming weeks.

Currently the death rate in the UK is falling rapidly and looks to be a couple of weeks behind Spain so I doubt there will be an issue other than the 2 weeks quarantine on returning to the UK!

Despite being British I do not have any faith in the British Governments response to the crisis when they make a laughing stock of their own rules and seem to be controlled by an unelected advisor who does what he wants while most of the population struggle to follow the "guidelines". At least in Spain we know where we stand with what is allowed and that it is enforced.

I don't disagree UKG's response has been late, weak and not based on science (contrary to their lines). But in general the people have stuck to the rules  (the ones we undersatnd) and despite the government's poor showing the UK rate is falling rapidly - thanks to the people.

Remnber also that said 'advisor' was the one who wanted to geo for herd immunity at the beginning - farsical!

The U.K. is 3 weeks behind Spain so they are crossing the winning line togeather and it seems their plan is working bigger population more densely populated areas more than their fair share of immigrants.so don’t think they have done a bad job made mistakes haven’t we all. Still think if Brexit wasn’t happening The BG wouldn’t be taking an hammering so much from the European Ex pats.

Not done so badly ? Uk has 3rd highest death rate in the world by population- we were under prepared ( despite warnings), very slow to act, sloppy in our message and undermined by hypocrites in charge. We are supposedly one of the wealthiest countries on the planet but yet we failed to invest in health or preparedness- apart from all that we have done ok.
