Not been to Cabo roig since last October and was wondering if the new shopping centre is open yet? Also has anyone taken over the old Aldi premises yet?

Rumours have been circulating for months that it is Iceland that will be moving in. Technically they are not Iceland but Overseas Supermarkets Ltd who import Iceland and Waitrose Essentials products, as well as other British Brands, they sometimes have good deals but often you pay the price for the products being imported. They have a store in Torrevieja, see the links.

Th clothing store is called Fashion City and opened before last xmas. Its stock is along the lines of Primark in quality. It is close to the New Shopping complex but not part of the same development.
The urbanization does need the old Aldi store open again ,even if it's only for running round there for bread and milk etc. Not too bothered about prices being a bit more expensive as there is no end of Supermarkets within easy reach for the big weekly shopping.
LeckyLes.
New store. Overseas Supermarket. A combination of Icelandabd Waitrose. Think it's ooening in June.

Great news
We have a place in Lomas De Cabo Roig and although we are not there at the moment, other owners feed into our Facebook group page and I can confirm that the old Aldi reopened on 4th June as Iceland Overseas, selling Iceland and Waitrose products, fresh and frozen. Also, the new commercial centre is completed and beginning to be populated with businesses. So far, there's a rooftop cocktail bar, Indian and Mediterranean restaurants and, of course, an estate agent! Fashion City is not part of the centre but has been open for several months now.
