I have been researching where to obtain a PCR Test locally, as we are due to return to the UK on 20th January. There are two places I found in Torrevieja.

1. Imed are charging €120 for PCR and Antigen. (Website not very user friendly in that the only date it allows is the current one and you'd have to pay upfront. I tried phoning but it rang and rang, then disconnected.)

2. Quironsalud are charging €98 for PCR only.

It took me over two hours to get any sensible options to book either of them.

I opted for Quiron.

You have to register with full name, date of birth, passport number, an email address and mobile number and choose a date and time. If there are two of you, the only thing I found irritating was that you have to confirm and check out one at a time. You then receive a text message on your mobile with a temporary password to log in and then change to your own choice. Then log out (under Profile) and then log back in to start next one. I printed each form off as I pressume you have to prove you are booked in.

I assume you sit in your car as it states 'outside', then pay by credit card or cash once it's done.

Hope this helps.

Regards, Jan.

From our experience .... if you drive into the TV Quiron, drive past the main entrance. The road bends to the right. Look to your right .... around 80 metres from the road, there are steps dropping down to a doorway. You will see the queue.

Hello

If you are flexible and can travel to arrive  before Mon 18th Jan, you can avoid this as the roll out of this process has now been delayed in the UK until that date.....Just announced on BBC News

Cheers
