Some of the bars have cheap secondhand books either to buy or exchange. Coocoo's on the road behind the strip beachside (Calle del mar) and Ollie and (can't remember the name!) bar further up the road had some books. Also I think there used to be second hand book shop at Paddys Point in La Zenia. Also you could try charity shop by the pyramid island in cabo roig.

Go to the charity shops upstairs above Lidl near the boulevard. 50c each and return your old ones at the same time.

That is very useful information - haven't explored that little area yet !!

I use my Kindle a lot but there's nothing quite like the feel of a book

Thanks

Lots of them....a place called Nice Things on Calle del Mar in Cabo Roig  gets them by the pallet.    There is a lady at the Thursday market that sells English language books, and they can also be traded back in.   Several of the pubs also have a book rack.

All the charity shops have lots of books.  Little Pod above Mercadona in the Los Dolses shopping centre, S.A.T. In Cabo Roig near the roundabout, Easy Horse Rescue in La Zenia near the Dog and Bone, Samaritans in Punta Marina shopping Centre near McDonalds. ..... the list goes on.

Well judging from the response I won't be short of reading material during my Spanish winter breaks - thanks all one again Alonso

Market is on Calle del Mar/Calle Fuego

I never noticed a book stall when I was there but I'll be out again in a couple of weeks and will let you know if I see one

Maybe other forum members could advise you better ?
