Hi does anyone know if your sip card which is Valencian community can be used in other areas ,Granada, Almeria etc while on holidays

Hello Chicojohn

I have used mine in Barcelona in a farmacia ( a while ago).....one shop refused it but 2nd shop were fine. As dmbuck says, I think it's ok anywhere in Spain

I've used my SIP card in various parts of Spain with no problems. It is a national healthcare card so can be used for all healthcare issues. (Except dental)

Our health centre recently replaced our blue/white Valencia SIP cards with red/white cards. Somewhere in google-land there was a suggestion that the old card was only valid in Valencia, but the new one is valid throughout Spain. Can anyone clarify?

Yes, we have used our SIP card whilst ill on holiday in Majorca, brilliant service in their hospital, my husband was in intensive care in Parma for 11 days and really well looked after.
