If you are registered at your local Health Clinic & both have SIP cards, just sit tight & wait and you will be contacted. My clinic in La Mata are now vaccinating people 80yrs & over.

5 years of living here has taught me never, ever look for any logic in Spanish bureaucracy.

Hello
Hello TP20
In my early days here (17yrs ago) the lack of 'common sense' decisions amazed me.....Not putting up notices in health centres/shops/bus stations etc when everyones asking the same question !!
It's never changed & it's something you get used to but it will never ever make sense.
Cheers

The following was in 'El Pais in English' on the 17th February:
Different regions of Spain are proceeding at different speeds. For now, seven have begun immunizing the 80-and-over population, while most are still working on the Phase 1 priority groups: residents and workers of care facilities, health personnel and people with need for daily assistance who do not live in a care home Meanwhile, essential workers under 55 are also getting immunized with the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.

What I struggle with is Spains can't do attitude, it pervades every area of Spanish life and is not a good look, it makes Spain feel like a 3rd world country.
Spain offers no encouragement to people wanting to start a business, in fact it does everything it can to stop entrepreneurs. It's not surprising that it's a poor country and always will be.

For whatever it's worth, I saw my nurse at Cabo Roig yesterday and he said that they are currently vaccinating the over 85s. Next week they will move to those aged 84.
