Cabo Roig / La Zenia

Hi , I am so pleased to have found this forum ! My partner and I are hoping to be buying a holiday home in either Cabo Roig or La Zenia. Our problem is on how to decide on which! The more we look the more confused we get. Our main priority will be to get to reastaurants , beach , shops etc within a 15 minute walk as we won’t be buying a car. Also medical facilities within the area would be essential. Looking at the beaches they look very much the same , I enjoy walking along the beach ,and also we would be looking at pathways for bikes. I look forward to hearing from you all and can’t wait to have our very own holiday home.☀️☀️☀️

I am biased as I live in La Zenia but if you opt for that area you will be closer to the best beaches, great bars and restaurants in the area, around ten minutes walk to Cabo Roig with a larger selection and where the main Medical Clinic is located, twenty minutes walk to the large Zenia Boulevard shopping centre, there is a wonderful coastal walk from Playa Flamenca past La Zenia ( where the largest beach is ) and on to Cabo Roig and beyond. Most beaches have beach bars ( with Sun loungers and parasols to hire ) that are open in the summer months while the one on La Zenia is open all year round. Large supermarkets are located in both areas. Good luck with your search.

Many thanks for your reply. Can you tell me where the nearest waterpark is please. My Son and Grandchildren will be having holidays with us so we need to keep the younger ones amused as well.😄

In Torrevieja, there is a local bus service but I haven't used it in the four years I have been here, you could Google for David's Coach Trips website, they run variety of inexpensive day trips and I would recommend their services ( English speaking guides, well maintained coaches and excellent drivers ) or Eurotourguide who offer different trips including football matches ( Elche in the Spanish 2nd division ) and they again are recommended.
