Unfortunately they won't insure with existing medical conditions.  It looks like no company will and we will have to go back to the UK rather than living our dream in Spain!!   SOOO DISAPPOINTING!!!

So sorry to hear this, I assume you have scoured the internet, I am on the understanding even with Brexit, that when you reach your state retirement age, you may be able to use the UK health system = S1 for health cover here in Spain? but I may be wrong? Wishing you all the best and hope your dream comes true. stay safe and healthy and keep us all updated.

Neither my husband or I receive a state pension yet.  Brian get his next year at age 66 and me the following year when I am 66!  I will keep trying.  I don't expect to get insurance for what I already have but I thought they would just exclude them and still insure me!  Keep your fingers  crossed!  I don't have much time left before the end of the month!

Thanks for the information.  I had actually tried them.  I managed to get insurance finally through SALUS in the end and our applications for Residencia were finally electronically submitted in the last week of December, just in time!  Just a waiting game now to see if we get accepted!
