I would hope that you persevere and keep using the Forum. While I do admit that there are a few who have forgotten manners and courtesy and why we use the Forum the vast majority are trying to be helpful, mindful that at some time we all have been new to the experience of living in Spain and dealing with all that entails. Even after a few years I am still on a learning curve and do my best to avoid those who are looking to create confrontation, while I would also suggest that you use the "Report This Message" function if you feel that you have been targeted, the Admin Team will review it and take action when appropriate ranging from warning the person or ultimately removing them from the Forum. In every walk of life we come across these types of people, as you would do in your daily life, ignore them and take the best the Forum has to offer.

concur. Stick with it!  there´s good & bad & tongue in cheek. You´re more to stay, learn, smile & enjoy. We don´t all agree, but most are capable without insulting others.

I, like bles, cannot see any posts where you have been involved in any unhappy confrontational discussions, please expand on where you are basing your comments.

Hi Jayne. Such a shame if you leave the forum - 99% of people are helpful on here and the forum is such a rich source of information and help. The Admin people do a great job of monitoring, so I think you maybe have been unfortunate to have read some heated comments that do not reflect the true nature of the forum. Also, some of the banter can be quite amusing. Try for a while longer and I’m sure you won’t regret it. Welcome to the forum.

I would ignore or report anyone that you think is being ill-mannered or just downright rude. 

I have had so much invaluable advice and help from the members of this forum which helped me get a better deal and better idea what was necessary for my house purchase. I have even gone against my lawyer’s opinions to insist, backed up by members’ experience and knowledge and guess what? I did it!  You won’t find better information available on other forums, I am sure!
