Hi we’re coming to Cabo Roig this weekend, can anyone suggest any good walking routes ?

We’re hiring a car so can travel around the area fine. We’re both in our early 40s so rough terrain shouldn’t be a problem

Many thanks

Julian

Great Coastal walk can be found right in Cabo Roig, go to the end of the Cabo Roig Strip and go down to the street behind it between the Sabadell Bank and the Medical Centre, cross the road and go down the street where the Thursday Market is held and the Marinasol Bar, you will find the start of the walk to the left, parts are paved and parts packed earth but nothing too rough, you can walk all the way round the Coast to Playa Flamenca, added bonus is that along the route you have Cabo Roig Marina and Beach with bars and restaurants for a pitstop enroute. If too far for you you can leave the walk at a number of points and return to Cabo Roig or La Zenia by different streets, if you walk all the way to Playa Flamenca you can return by walking through La Zenia back to Cabo Roig.

Hello

Yes that is a great coastal walk from the marinasol. unfortunately after the military station around the corner it is closed as far as the Capitan Beach. Looks like round the headland there has been erosion and work is underway at the moment.

There’s a reservoir at San Miguel de Salinas you can walk round it. It’s just down a track after the black bull restaurant. Walk for miles
