Does anyone know what the new Regulatory charge is on our electricity bills. Its the same amount as the consumption charge. As if its not expensive enough

I am with Iberdrola and received an e-mail back in July this year with the following message. I am on the Day/Night plan.
• The gas cap financing measure implemented by the Government is a measure that aims to reduce the cost in the electricity market, but involves the payment of compensation to plants that generate electricity with gas. It is a variable compensation and that will be transferred to customers as a new concept regulated in invoice. It will not affect your contract while you are with Iberdrola and maintain your current pricing plan.
• Currently you have contracted a power less than or equal to 10 kW and therefore you will benefit from a VAT reduction of 10% to 5% in the power, the energy billed and in the concept of rental of measuring equipment from July 1, 2022.

Golandrina, I received the same message, also stating my VAT was going from 10% to 5%, my monthly bills total approx €27 if I pop out for 10 days that month or €47 if I stay around 3/4 weeks

Really you only pay 27€ for a week? Standing charges are 18€ + a month so you only used about 9€ of electricity a week. That would not be for an average user.
