My wife and I are looking to buy a villa in the Canuta de Ifach area of Calpe.

Is there anything we should be aware of in that area before we proceed with a purchase?

Much appreciated

Richard

Hello Richard, just do a general search for flooding in Calpe. I don´t know the area but in the short time I´ve been here there have been a few deluges which have affected coastal areas along the Costa Blanca North and South. Hopefully someone closer can give more specifics because I´m pretty sure these flash floods will usually affect the same areas whenever there is heavy rain.

Hi Cheryl,

Many thanks for taking the time to respond its appreciated.

I don't image flooding would be an issue owing to the location of the Villa we have seen.

We have been in Denia when the heavens opened so know what you mean about the coastal areas.

main concerns are

property subsidence in this area  (although no signs of this in the villa we have seen)

Any issues that would detract from us relaxing.

Many thanks again

Richard
