I have just arrived a couple of days ago and I am staying in Maryvilla, I am due to get my NIE on 6th May as I will need this, but I am wondering if anyone can recommend an accountant to get my registration for social services and self employment done for me, as I have the forms completed but will need a permanent address to use as I am just renting at the moment, and will be trying to get this all done on 6th & 7th so I can start working here in Spain.

any help would be appreciated.

regards

David

Many thanks for this, I will be going to a colleagues place tomorrow until early afternoon, then probably stop off on way back, but would be great if we could meet up, as I know very little, and things get frustrating for me as it all seems to be slower, and I know this is a ME thing, as I cannot expect everything to work as I do.

I would think that you would need an abogado (attorney) as well as the necessary licences.

I am working for a global company saving Expats money and adding value to their lives in foreign countries around the world, I am here in Spain, but there are 3 main offices in Spain, the nearest unfortunately is in Malaga so I am going to be remote covering the Costa Blanca region, and working from wherever I am residing, currently.......

My boss works from his home just outside Javea, and we will travel to wherever the clients want to meet us...........apparently this works best here in Costa Blanca, as there was an office in Denia, but nobody was willing to drive to office so they closed the main office down, and offered the guys in this region, remote working options, and I am here to help develop the area for the company, as there are a lot of expats in this region....

Hopefuly speak soon.

regards

Speak with your boss and ask how he is structured to work in Spain. Then speak with a Gestoria. Make sure somebody at the office is registered with the “college de gestorias” They will be happy to show your their documentation and qualifications. A registered gestoria is more accountant than general book-keeper.

Options are to be self-employed trading with the UK company. Where you will need to be on the EU VAT intrastat. Proper EU VAT number. You pay social security, tax etc.

You can be self-employed trading with the Spanish subsidiary office. You pay social security, tax etc.

Both options allow you to claim business expenses, office costs, computers etc. Claim refunds on IVA for purchases. Spanish business expenses are very good.

A registered Gestoria will be able to explain the best options.

Many thanks for your input much appreciated as I am going to be a self employed individual, hence MY NIE and social and self employed registrations being done all on Monday ideally, as I have now got a number to go to the town hall after NIE appointment to get this done and all sorted hopefully so I can start trading and earning money, the worrying bit is I am here without a contract at the moment, and no way of gettingbstarted to earn money until this gets sorted by company, and they cant do anything until the necessary paperwork is supplied to them, very difficult if you have never done this before so very much appreciate all input as all helpful......

Regards

I hope I am very wrong, but as a ex fraud squad detective, this all sounds a bit fishy to me.
