Can anyone who has recently collected an 'updated' TIE please let me know if appointments to collect renewed cards are as difficult to obtain as the appointments to 'renew' them. (Hope that makes sense - we need to make an appointment after 30 June).

Collection is done by a Lote number. You will be given a Lote number and you can check on the Form 24 site. When the number comes up you can go and collect it and the site will tell you if you need an appointment or not. Don't know which office you went to but, for example, Denia is showing Lote number 2026/045 and saying you need an appointment to collect it. Alicante says Lote 2026/156 and you can turn up to collect it without an appointment.

That's very interesting.  The A4 'receipt' given to us by Benidorm Policia Nacional states that our lote is 2026/109 No 002.

but the bottom of that page states that after 20 days (30 June) it is necessary to make an appointment through the icp.admistracionelectronica.gob.es website.

Thank you.

If you follow Marcliff’s link, then you’ll,see that today people with Lote 100 need to make an appointment for collection. You’ll be making an appointment for collection rather than fingerprinting, so I would guess it will be easier to get an appointment.

It should have been explained to you at your fingerprint appointment, but the 20 days stated on your form will  be approximately when they expect to reach your Lote No.109

I’d keep checking as it is only an estimation.

As Marcliff has said at Alicante today it’s Lote 156, we, this morning have been given a Lote number of 189, which were told we could collect  in approx a months time.No appointments  needed for Alicante. Lote numbers can sometimes jump by 10 numbers overnight at Alicante so it’s always worth checking . Office is only open a few mornings next week, due to the holidays, Benidorm could possibly the same.I’ll start checking for our number probably in two weeks time.

The process at Alicante was extremely easy  this morning and we were both done and dusted well before our appointment times.

ok that's very useful. thank you.

I did look at the link on the form 24 site and it estimated that the card could be available on or after 1st July which is in line with the 20 days we were given.

I've just checked again and there's 9 in front of us and "almost ready" and there's another two weeks to go!  Exciting isn't it? Like checking the National Lottery results ha ha!

Thanks for the information.

Looks like you can make your appointment to collect. The Lote Number for Benidorm is  112

Thank you so much, that's very kind of you to let me know.

I did check the website a few hours ago and found that my lot number had been completed.

Unfortunately there are currently only two offices with appointments available and neither of them at Benidorm, so it looks like it's going to be back to checking for appointments at all hours of the day as I needed to do when I made an appointment to apply for the card.

But, the receipt for my application given to me by the Benidorm Policia Nacional showed that I should apply for an appointment to collect the new card on after 30 June, which is in another 5 days time, so I shouldn't really complain.

Thanks again.

Just checking you’re using the correct  link to make the appointment.

You can only collect your card from the office as stated on your receipt , so there’s no point in checking any other office.

Yes I am thank you - 'CNP Benidorm TIE'.

A couple times I selected any location just to see the situation in other áreas.

One thing I have noticed since I first started applying for appointments is that the Elda office appears quite frequently (shown all day today) which might be of interest to anyone trying to make their initial appointment and is prepared to travel to Elda (including for the collection of their new card).  Elda is about 55mins by car from Benidorm and 36 mins from Alicante.

Have you managed to collect the card from Benidorm yet?

Just to let others know the current turnaround of Lote numbers  from fingerprint appointment to card collection at Alicante is 14 days and not the month as stated. Pleased we managed to pick ours up so quickly, especially as for one of those weeks the Alicante office was only open three mornings.
