Residency vs tax residency
I’ve been told I need to be in Spain at least 6 months a year to maintain my TIE but as long as I’m only there for 182 days a year I’m not a tax resident of Spain
But others say that’s not true
any advice most welcome!

As far as I am aware having residencia in Spain with a TIE or as a member of an EU country means paying taxes in Spain.

Correct. In order to avoid losing your Residency you need to reside in Spain for at least 6 months a year. Tax residency kicks in at 183 days.

If we have residency / TIE or accepted for such, we are eligible for Spanish tax on our world assets. Same here. It needn't be as scary as that sounds as there are reciprocal agreements i.e. if you have paid tax in say the UK but seriously get an accountant for this and be aware of the filing dates. There is good advice over in Guidebook Spain by Jim Taylor as well.
Best wishes,
Dave

Yes, your TIE will lapse if you leave Spain for 6 months or more.
Yes, if you have a TIE, you have legal Spanish Residency and are you obliged to support Spain through your taxes (there are some exceptions to this for recipients of UK Crown pensions).

Hi
Can anyone advise on a good tax adviser for Spanish wealth tax
thanks
Paul
Can't recommend a solicitor for wealth tax as it won't affect me but new rules brought out last year shows wealth tax is now only payable on assets, not income, of over 3 million euro a year. Tax rates from 3 to 5 million are 1.7%, 5 to 10 million at 2.1% and over that at 3.5%.
As I'm not a professional footballer nor married to Taylor Swift I haven't bothered to look into it too much.
Oh, and I don't do the lottery.
