Advice on various utilities

Hi everyone,

I am due to move to Calpe at the end of the month and thought I would ask for some general a advice on what goes in to running a home. Hopefully I can get some useful info which can save me money. I know there are other posts about some of the aspects below and I will look into them but wanted to solicit a response on all the costs. Here is what I have learned so far

1) Electricity - I think I have this covered. Iberola night night tariff

2) Water - I hear this is expensive. Is there just one company ? I assume the cost is based on usage but would be useful to know what’s folks are paying.

3) House damage insurance - The bank is insisting I take their policy for the first year of the mortgage. I think this is the same as building insurance in uk ?

4) Contents insurance - Any advice on best companies ? What is general cost ?

5) IBI and SUMA - I need to look into this for my property.

6) Are there any other outgoings I have not thought of. My job is gas so I will need gas. I am organizing WIFI so have that sorted. I probably will need pool maintenance until I can learn to do it myself ( Any one know a good and reasonable company ?). Are there any others costs I have not thought of ?

Really appreciate any feedback. This forum is a God send. So happy I came across it.
