I am sure that this is a common thread, but we are having our house in Campoamor refurbished and wish to include TV and Wifi while it is being done. It seems like a really confusing issue, with so many different options and ways of doing it. Could anyone recommend a good supplier of reliable TV & internet? We don't want Sky, just the usual British Freeview channels and a reliable wifi broadband.

Many thanks

Mark

Thanks so much, that is really useful advice. Would you have any recommendations of companies to talk to about the dish?

I used Graham Paul Glick for satellite TV:

www.televisiontechnology.eu

Have a look at his website - there's lots of excellent information on there.

Like you, we only wanted the free channels. I got a 1.4 metre prime focus dish, and reception is perfect at all times of the day, even on supposedly weak frequencies like BBC2. Can't fault the guys who did the installation - perfect in every way.

I'm not a TV fan, but I use the receiver to plug in a memory stick or external hard drive so I can watch music videos.

For landline phone, internet and mobile, we use Movistar. Not the cheapest, but from all the feedback we get from friends who are with or have tried other companies, Movistar are the most reliable.

Thanks, Jim, that's really useful. I will check Graham out & Movistar.

Cheers

Hi we went to TVHoradas, there is a booth in Zenia Boulivard not sure where they are near you, we just gave them our address and they told us it had Fiber Optic internet, they installed with in a few days €60 installation including router and €24 Euros per month, up to 100 meg, and as it is underground the weather doesn't affect it, it is really reliable, we don't have the TV as we use Fire Sticks but if you wanted it, it was an extra €60 for installation and an extra €6 per month. Hope you get sorted out.
