Hi everyone just enquiring about waiting time for cataract operation I saw the anesthetist on the 23rd March 2023 but he couldn't give me any information when the op would take place anyone in similar situation as me
Which hospital? If Torrevieja then my wife's was 5 months after the appointment. Not sure if the August break would come into play, though.

Thank you when you say appointment did you mean 5 months after seeing the anesthetist yes it was torrevieja hospital
Yes, after seeing the anaesthetist. However, they were still going through the Covid bit at the time. The second operation was done after 3 months.

Try this:
- Portal del Paciente (patient access)
- Asistencia Sanitaria (healthcare)
- Consulta tu situación en la lista de Espera Quirúrgica (look up where you are on the surgical waiting list)
You might have to put your SIP card info in at some stage or use clave or your digital certificate to get access but one of them will work.

That tells you how long you have been on the list and how long the average wait for this procedure is. We were phoned a few weeks before the operation, to allow time for the zillion eyedrops and wipes, but only appeared on that list a week before the operation.
And you need your SIP card number leaving off the initial zero.
