Thank you pete.for replying also could i ask you a question i have a Hyundai getz on a 58 plate is only done 45thousand miles on clock it's right hand drive not let me down .is it dear to get headlights change over and number plates .someone said I would have to pay import tax on it .what would you do sell it in UK or bring it over.or buy one over here it's all done. Tommy.
It's true that second hand cars are relatively expensive here but I cannot agree with blanket characterisations of being 15 year old or having 150k km on the clock automatically labelling cars as bangers.
Given the benign climate here corrosion is something which barely enters the equation and for most cars manufactured in the past three or four decades 150k (93k miles) is nothing to be afraid of either, particularly true for diesels, so it just may be that prices for second hand cars are what they are because they are worth it!
In my book buying new cars is a game strictly for mugs but hey somebody has to do it in order to maintain a steady flow of used cars for the more enlightened amongst us to pick up at more reasonable prices so please do carry on 😊
So.....sounds good, thinking about that style. not knowing much about that car (which I like), it´s basically nearly twenty-year old Mondeo Jag. Am I about right?

I looked for a while and concluded that second hand cars do seem expensive in Spain. I did buy a Ford KA from carsinspain based near Mercia.
4000 euros for a 2009 65k miles. Clean and tidy. Serves a purpose as i am only in Alicante for 10 weeks a year at the moment and hiring cars is a pain. I keep it near the airport with a company called Plane parking. 300 euros a year. unlimited use. car washed each time i go out there.
cars in spain is owned by a british couple. they collected me fro the bus station in Mercia to pick it up. No frills.

Used cars are generally more expensive in Spain than the UK .I personally bought a LHD (Spanish reg ) used car from eBay in UK and drove it over there.Takes about a year to get it registered (bought mine in 2007) A friend has a RHD vauxhall Corsa around 10 years old and after 4 years of use,she has no major problems with it . My wife and I find the local Spanish small garages are far less expensive than the main dealers for servicing and repairs ,including fitting Spanish headlight...good luck
