Update on my sons paying for someone else’s electric

It’s been over a year and although Iberdrola accept somethings wrong they said when my son goes out on 13 April he will have to pay for an electrician to sort THEIR problem out.

They are still getting big bills when no one has been there for months and Everthing is switched off and no it isn’t just standing charge.

Will let you know how he gets on, poor devil wants a breakaway from a very stressful job for few days and is having to sort all this out himself, all wrong!!!

Check out the bill to see if there is a insurance cover charge, if so read the small print to see if there is any help available.

Is the power turned off at the main fuse/circuit breaker? How big are your monthly bills? We had friends staying at our place, they turned off the hot water the fridge and the freezer. Unfortunately they had played around with the timer on our aircondition remote and the ac was running for eight hours a day for almost two months. 😢

Thanks Kenneth. Everything is switched off from the box in the apartment, there is nothing on at all. The bills vary, from 56 euro to sometimes 70 or 80, it’s definitely someone else’s electricity they are paying for.

Lets hope if he can get hold of an electrician he can sort the problem out.

If I remember correctly, did you not update us quite some while ago that Iberdrola had found it was a different meter, another property, which had somehow got mixed up with yours?
