Hi all,

We have decided to move to Castalla with my parebts so we can look after them as they are aged and need a little help now and again. We would love to hear of the social life here.

We like to hear about hospitals and doctors and things like hospital insurance etc.

Actually any advice or help would be very well appreciated,

Anyway hi all and look forward to being there end of april.

Ron & charlotte

Hi, This is a Beautiful place to live, the only down side is the amount of dogs on this estate, there for there is constant barking morning noon and night, also the dog muck which causes more flies every year which in turn prevents people from enjoying outside eating such as barbecues, but apart from that it's wonderful.

Hi Ron and Charlotte

Is it Castalla international? My wife and I are moving in to Castalla town itself hopefully within first 2 weeks of May. Don't know a great deal about the area ourselves yet except very friendly and lots of lovely bars and restaurants, but maybe we could meet up some time. Hope move goes well and wish you all the best

Hi Roneo,

Best wishes with your new chapter in Castalla! There is a public hospital in Alcoy as nearest  called 'Virgen de los Lirios' , this is about 20km from Castalla. Minor NHS clinics, so-called 'ambulatorios', are available in any town if you're going to be entitled to spanish NHS, while english speaking facilities you'll find more along the coast, especially in private clinics and hospitals but also some of the NHS ones.

If you are seeking or will have the need of private medical insurance, please feel free to contact for a free quote, we are an Agency for SALUS Seguros and would be pleased to assist you.

Kind regards,

Alfonso - Gran Alacant Insurances

Hi Ron,

Thanks for your further indications. The monthly private medical fees for your parents (both 78 aged) would be 142,80€ each and for yourself (56 aged) 70,58€ month. If all three would join, the Company offers a 10% lifetime discount on each, so this could be deducted from these rates.

I have also send you a PM with further information.

Kind regards

Alfonso - Gran Alacant Insurances
