Hi

We maybe will be moving to Castalla soon, can anyone tell me what it's like?

Is the weather cold in winter?

Where could I buy second hand furniture?

Where could I learn Spanish ?

Hi I live not too far away in Agost

Castella is a nice town well , yes it dose get colder than the coast in the winter and you will need some form of heating ,

There are plenty of second hand furniture shops in san vicente de raspeig  , not sure about in Castella its self  but guess there must be

Cheers Tony

No it's a property just off the motorway about 2km from Castalla town centre.

So excited at a new prospect in life!

How long have you lived in Agost?

I have lived in Agost for 13 years now

I remember the Excitement of starting a new life in the sun , wish you good luck

Castella is well connected to the motorway , so great for day trips down to the coast , I believe there is quite an expat community in and around Castella

So do you have a country house nr Castella ?

We live in the country nr Agost

Yes we are just in the process of purchasing it.

We cannot wait. I want to learn Spanish I will never be fluent but I want to try and converse with everyone.

Wow 13 years that's a long time. Well you certainly must enjoy it to stay!

We have a good lawyer, which helps. But buying in a new country is certainly an eye opener for us.

We didn't want to be near the coast, we like the country life more. We looked at several areas before settling on this one.

Thank you for your well wishes!

Look at the local charity shops as many have good quality furniture at cheap prices.
