Hi Patsy,

Spain is currently on the UK's Amber travel list.  The requirements for entering England are:

-  certificate to prove they have been double vaccinated,

-  a negative Covid test, taken no more than 72 hours before departing Spain,

-  complete the UK's Passenger Locator Form,

-  pre-book and pay for a further Covid test, to be taken on Day 2 after arrival in England (the purchase reference number for this test has to be added to the Passenger Locator Form).

If they are visiting Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, links to the requirements for those countries can be found here:

https://www.gov.uk/uk-border-control

(They can travel to the UK even if they are not fully vaccinated, but they would need to self-isolate for 10 days on arrival and pre-book Day 2 and Day 8 tests.)

For their return to Spain, they will need either proof of double vaccination or a negative Covid test, and they will need to complete the Spanish health form:

https://www.spth.gob.es/

You don't say when they plan to travel, so do double-check these websites, in case the rules change again.

Kind regards,

Kim
