IVA RATE ON PROPANE GAS BOTTLES
I HAVE JUST PURCHASED TWO PROPANE GAS BOTTLES AT MY LOCAL GARAGE AND NOTICED THE IVA RATE IS 21%. I am asking the question, am I correct or not concerning the IVA rate was this rate reduced to 5% or am totally wrong.

Very helpful member
I am on the understanding, A regular cylinder of 12.5kg Butane gas fell by 5% in March to 16.79 cents.

What I now need is a lagal paper in Spanish that states this, have you ever seen such a document it's certainly never arrived at our Briogas seller. If anyone can link zme to the site I would be most appecative.
IVA on mains gas was reduced from 21 to 5 percent from October to December last year. I think this was extended to March.
Cost of bottled gas was reduced by almost 5% (4.96%) in the same period and the price was frozen so the IVA on the bottled gas (which is cheaper than the mains gas) was reduced to around 16% for that period.
Haven't seen any legislation extending the reduction on main gas since then.
Only the heavyweight metal Repsol bottles are subject to the government price caps.
