Hi Angela,

Is your friend Dutch or British, and when is he planning to travel?  It will depend on whether the Netherlands is on Spain's list of banned countries (as is the UK), although that restriction is due to be lifted at 6pm on Tuesday, 5 January.  If your friend is Dutch, it will also depend on what restrictions the Netherlands has placed on its own citizens.  If he's British, Spain has already stated that British citizens have to possess a green Residency card or TIE, in order to be allowed entry.  It would probably be best for him to wait until next Wednesday and check what restrictions, if any, are still in place.

Kind regards,

Kim

Thanks for the info. My friend comes from Holland, and I've read Holland does not advise travel at the moment.
