Just read on the TalkQuesada forum that a colleague who is 64 with no underlying medical condition, taking no medication and she has been scheduled for her first vaccine on  6 April in Torrevieja and an appt. for her follow up already given to her.

I know of residents in Catral over 60 and 70 with lung and heart conditions and having monthly injections to help them. ...

...

Yes their details have been updated.

Personally I feel their doesn’t  seem to be a system in place, regardless of what some people say.

Hello, yes I totally agree, I am 70 and tried to register in Torrevieja, I have a residency card, but they said NO T salud, she wanted an Ehic card? No consistency in this country, and what is ok one day is not the next. Fed up hitting brick walls, I give up!

I think that’s for Astra Zeneca, which is only being used for those born between 1956 and 2003. The 83 year old posted will have received a different vaccine.

Correct  it's  repeated here in 4 weeks for the 80  +

Copied from another group

The messages people are getting to their phones about the AstraZeneca vaccine is for the UNDER 65’s. If you are 66, 67, 68 or any older whatsoever you will not be receiving this jab. Vaccines are being given due to supply and at the moment the available vaccines are ...

...the AstraZeneca ones.

If you are over 65 you will get your appointment as soon as they have vaccines available, you will also receive a call from your medical centre which is where your jab is most likely to be given to you to stop unnecessary travel for vulnerable people.

All going well in UK with vaccines Myself and Partner have had both jabs (70/73 years old). Hoping to get to our holiday apartment in El Campello end June. Just wondering how things are progressing in the area with vaccinations. We don’t get much information here regarding Spain and as we haven’t been able to get over for well over a year we’re keen to find out situation

I had my AZ yesterday morning in Gandia. Have an appointment for the second jab 30th June. All very easy and pleasant in Gandia. In and out in less than 30 mins and that includes the mandatory wait period of 15 mins post jab. Had a pretty rough night last night with a nasty headache, make sure you have paracetamol on hand. Much better today

There was an article in the Daily mail saying that Spain niw plans to vaccinate all 60 to 65’d immediately using the Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccine. All older people will receive theirs soon starting after the 80’s have received theirs and working back.  My guess is that it’s all this con...

...troversy about the AZ being safe so giving to under 65’s. I’m over 70 as is my husband and we’ve had it with no repercussions, second vaccine in 10 days time.   In all truth, it’s good to see some movement in Spain finally. Fingers crossed for you oldies!

Had 24 hours notice for my first Pfizer vaccination yesterday - 2nd one in 3 weeks.  I’m 78. Live in Elche.

Great news. Take it easy afterwards and use paracetamol for any side effects.

Hi Johnsrcherfam. We didn’t receive a call from the medical centre. We got a txt. We are 63, 64 next month and my husband is 64. We live in Villena. My appointment is in Elche and my Husbands is in Elder. So not at our medical centre. We are both have the A Z vaccine and both have our second ap...

Hi Anne330. I know of a couple on another forum who had different appointments dates/time and when they were at the centre (can’t remember where) he showed his appt. for a later date and the burse said ‘you might as well get your here as well’, so might be an idea to bring your appt. worth a try you never know.
