Jesus wept...

The last time I responded to a comment like that, I received a polite message from the Admins telling me my post had been removed on the grounds of "keeping the discourse civil" so I'm not going to bother this time.

Casual racism's apparently fine but calling it out isn't it would seem.

Economic migrants are not war torn refugees, as said, if all people do what is morally right the world would be a better place, trouble is they don’t.

We do not have the infrastructure in the u k for more refugee,s you try and get a nhs dentist.i know for a fact that the hotel at the now closed for good airport at doncaster the refugee,s get free dentists, and i,m having to go private.

Hi Stirling36,

If someone coming to the UK has their application to remain accepted, they're granted refugee status and will continue to be exempt from NHS charges on the same basis as a British citizen ordinarily resident in UK.

https://www.refugeecouncil.org.uk/

And this is the UK Government's policy on access to NHS dental care for migrants:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/dental-health-migrant-health-guide#:~:text=migrants%20should%20see%20a%20dentist,healthy%20and%20free%20of%20pain

This is an article from the British Dental Association about the extensive research they have carried out with the BBC into the NHS dentistry crisis:

https://bda.org/news-centre/blog/Pages/NHS-dentistry-have-we-reached-the-point-of-no-return.aspx

So, if you believe that refugees in a hotel at Doncaster Airport are getting free NHS dentistry (to which they are entitled!), please explain where these dentists have come from?  As you "know this for a fact", please share your source.

Kind regards,

Kim

This conversation started by a poster asking, why someone could not look at, assisting people to live in their holiday home and spend more time in Europe. I did not vote for Britexit, so you know what side of the fence I stand, though a majority of people voted for Britexit and accept that, but I do not ever remember seeing a Hard Britexit being the only option on that Vote...though may of got that wrong? Not sure if 'Freedom of Movement; was ever on the table? it was negotiated with a hard Britexit in  mind. That decision was made by a majority Conservative Government, voted in by a Majority, to 'get the deal done', with other Parties, sitting on the fence, scared to upset people in the Red Wall, that had turned their voting habits.

Bottom line, I can not see anything changing, until Britain NOT EU, have a change of heart on their closed borders policies and give the same to EU members....so please stop blaming EU, blame the people negotiating the deal, for Britain.

A J   "They" like our money as much as they like any other nationals' money, so I don't think they hate us.  Am probably wrong.

Bit of a misconception here. I think "they" had no problem until "we" had a vote to remove "us" from the group. "We" brought the restrictions on "ourselves" with the not quite so oven ready deal.

You was the one who stated "They don't like us". I was pointing out "We were the instigators". Still many people can follow their dreams and maybe the rules may relax in time. But "you" or "we" cannot blame "them" for our actions.
