Help. We have a badly infected apricot tree

We have a badly infected apricot tree with black fly and affids. The leaves have fallen off and a sticky substance around the ground of the tree. We sprayed it with soapy water with a little oil mixture as we have a dog. We cut it back last year thinking it might help but it's the same. We have 8 fruit trees around it that look healthy. Can anybody offer any advice
