Driving down next week from the ferry port to Catral with a trailer and a merc sprinter.. If someone could tell me the best route to take.. Michelin give me three options.. AP67-A31  AP68-A23 and  A1-A31

Personnellement, je descends du nord de paris avec une remorque sur Catral sans prendre de péage par Waze et c'est un plaisir.

En évitant Dax

mais privilégiant Mont-de-Marsan  (bug)

Hi we drove to Madrid, Albacete, Alicante.

Our ferry came in at night so we stopped over in Burgos - nice hotel.

I dare say their are other routes, thus suited us at the time.

Thanks for the info.. My vehicle is UK registered and we don't have seperate registrations for trailers or caravans. It will be of the larger size and being towed by a 3.5t Merc Sprinter. Total length 11.5m just below the 12m where a long vehicle sign has to be displayed.

Hopefully there's a legal loophole for temporary foreign trailers

Hi

Thank you for the info.

My main concern is I have a 4x4 Mercedes Sprinter van with a 3.5t twin wheel trailer.. I have seen mention of mountains and was wondering if, I suppose caravaners had issues with power up these or even snow this time of year.

I've driven up Nice, France's mountain roads.. they are lethal, even more so with snow and South of France drivers.
