Hello

Not me Heather, surprised to see my bill for Sept was almost half of Augusts.

I did make an effort to reduce it a bit,     I used my  brilliant new ceiling fan more than my A/C. I only have a small  2 bed apt. so very easy to keep cool & heat.

I never look at my paper bill as my online  D/D  message comes weeks before that arrives

Cheers

Mine have not increased. It depends on what tariff you are on.  I'm on choose 8 hours and on a fixed 5 year contract. Three bed house, bill usually around 50 euro.

Hi

Is there an extra item on your bill - "tope precio de gas"?

If so, it's an extra tax to pay for the price cap! Many people have had it imposed.

Cheers

That's the sort of figure that others are quoting as well.

I believe that the extra charge for gas is calculated "per kWh" used, so will vary from month to month.

The charge is only paid by those on the government regulated tariff - those on a contract with a 3rd party supplier are unaffected (like me! Phew!)

It's an absolute joke iberdrola make it up as they go along , we are contually trying to get the best rate from them our neighbours who don't bother are using twice as much as us and our bill is nearly double theirs !!! Also out of four households on our urb everyone is paying a different rate !!! We went into the office in torrevieja to try and change our tariff only to be told they couldn't and look online !!! What use are the offices ? Not happy it's so unfair

Hi

Read an article on the other forum regarding ‘gas addition charge on bill’, this is just one of them.

quote

Just been to Arido Sanchez tiles in Los Montesinos and ordered 18 square metres of tiles at 14.95 euros a metre + IVA, I have also been charged 53.82 Tasa Energetica apparently for the Gas & Electric to make the tiles!! Surly this should be incorporated into the price of the tiles has anyone else come across this?

Another mentioned Preyser, went to collect tiles she ordered and was charged additional fee, think it was around 6.50e

Well we will all have to double check before ordering anything if any hidden additional costs are going to be included,

Unfortunately that's where you have gone wrong. If you renewed your contract after April this year you will have the tarrif for gas too at 12c per kwh. If you hadn't renewed you would not have this added. Apparently I have read somewhere on another forum that the charge is until March next year. No doubt it will continue

Our friends in San miguel have never changed their tarrif and dont pay it. Ours renewed in June and is now doubled. 18c per kwh usage plus 12c per kwh gas charge, so 30c per kwh. Before the end of our contract we was paying 15c per kwh.
