Hi, we are currently in the UK and have been advised our house in the de la borda area is flooded.  Obviously we need to get back but have been advised the roads are still impassable.  Does any one have any idea when it may be best for us to come over?

Hi Colin, we also live on Madriguera and the road to us is clear.  Diggers were out this morning clearing roads so the situation is changing all the time.  If you tell me your address I can find out for you if you can get to your house.

I live on the Camino de la Borda. Evacuated on Friday . Husband went back on Sat and was able to walk through water to our house from  the crossroads (bins) . Water unfortunately has got into our home unable to do anything yet.  Hoping to return  (not ro stay) tomorrow Monday.  Will give you an update then.

There was no need to be rude !  At least you can see what is happening unlike the home owners who are back in the uk and can only see from what is being reported on the news. (which by the way isn't a lot over here)

I thought these sort of sites were supposed to be helpful and offer advice and information not sarcasm.

You're not the only one who stranded.  Just be thankful you're still alive!

We are in the UK too at the moment and were due out there shortly anyway, though currently reviewing our departure. Residents in our area of Arroba de Hornos, Lo Vera, were evacuated by the Police late last week. Our homes are all flooded too. A neighbour managed to send out these photos.... Unsure of what to do just now but we will have to head over when the water subsides to deal with the challenges.... Wishing all well.... Stay safe 🙏🙏

Hi. Just an update. I went back home yesterday no. 122 . The road immediately left by the green post boxes was still covered in water but today is ok. Mist of the small roads off the tarmac are full of water in addition to gardens. Our house has had water ig. But still 1m deep outside. You will need to contact your insurance company who will then advise you to contact the consortium. Insurance companies are not paying out compensation. If you use a broker they might be able to help. You don't know what damage there is but you need to advise them you will be claiming.  Sorry to waffle on but hope it helps

Have a look at the N332 site as they have put some information on there regarding claims.   Also, the town hall (ayuntamiento) site may have some information.
