Does anyone know if the government 20% on all fuel prices will be stopped as from 1/1/23?

Thank you

The discount is due to finish at midnight on 31st December with no mention of extending it. Filled up my tank today at Plenoil in San Javier where Diesel is 1.45€ per litre....cheapest I've seen so far!

That is cheap for diesel. I pay a lot more for it.

But I look on fuel as costing what it costs, and while my 2.8 diesel engine does not do many kpg, I don't travel much.

Have a look at this

You can alter it to your area

Yes …Spanish gouvernement will stop the reduction on January 1st. Only professional will continue to benefit of the 0,20cents reduction

Extract from this morning's Informacion newspaper:

'The Government's decision to maintain the 20-cent discount on fuel only for professionals will have direct consequences on consumption. This is predicted by the service station sector, from where they warn that this measure could reduce refueling by around 10% . The carriers, on the other hand, consider it a breath of fresh air to be able to continue enjoying this discount, while the other beneficiaries, such as agriculture and fishing, continue to describe the measure as insufficient.'
