Good morning or is it - some of us will be doing some DIY and clearing up this morning.   This weather wasn’t predicted, although I did think we would have a thunderstorm.  I was woken up by the patio chairs banging against our patio door security grill.    Neighbours fencing down, patio chairs everywhere, umbrella metal stands blown over no sign of the umbrella. Not venturing out at the moment to check other areas.

I know it seems weird, I've noticed parasols that have been blown into other peoples gardens, my partner said they were woken up by the weather overnight.

Hello

Not looking great in my garden, pots blown over ,broken, leaves/soil everywhere.....Got up at 1.40pm to dismantle side panel to my toldos & then wind it back in but a gale blowing so quite a battle. Around communal pool ( side closest to the sea) not too  bad but properties at the back of my Urb got full force - it will soon clean up though. I also have chair cushions & a towel - not mine --in the garden ,presume from someones solarium haha

Annoyed with myself for not being better prepared , Ive lived here 19years, but honestly thought it was just rain coming - not a very warm gale.

Cheers

The storm didn't wake us, but there was garden furniture in the pool this morning, and the skimmer was blocked by pine needles.

Our neighbour's parasol had blown down.

It must have been a local storm in that area, here in Benidorm all we got was a nice breeze (which was welcome) otherwise a very warm and sticky night...expect a 40 deg temperature by this afternoon!!

Hi Denver,

I think it must have been isolated in some areas.  I was awoken by heavy rain during the night and while the inflatables had blown out of the pool, replaced by leaves from our fruit trees, all furniture and parasols were where they should be.  But a friend of mine in El Raso, Guardamar, didn't have any rain, but her garden furniture was all over the place.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kim

We are all sorted now, leaving the pool until tomorrow - had a swim around 12 and temperature was 28 degrees - once in we soon relaxed, so use to it being 30-32.

Helping neighbour tomorrow repair his bamboo fence to the wire fencing. relaxing now and watching the golf.
