Sounds about ball park to me.

Lucky you having no medical issues at 67 but statistically that's well outwith the norms and that's what the insurance companies will looking at when quoting.

My wife and I pay 1800 Euros in total, ages 62 & 60.

We expect this to increase significantly at age 65.

Doesn’t seem too bad given the age. We looked a couple of years ago, out of curiosity rather than need as we both have SIP cards, we are aged early 70s now, and we were looking at around 3K per annum for the two of us.

Hello

If either of you is in receipt of a state pension then you can obtain free healthcare for both of you.  Just go to the Ayuntamiento with your proof of pension and talk to Social Services and they will sort you out.    If only one of you has a pension then the other is listed as your dependent and also qualifies.

Hope this helps.

Richard

But Brexit might remove your right to free healthcare in Spain.

Most EU nationals living in Britain are working and paying taxes. They are not receiving reciprocal healthcare.

Brits in Spain (of UK pensionable age) currently receive free reciprocal healthcare. It is free reciprocal healthcare that is at risk due to Brexit.
