Furniture shopping

Hi DebbieII. You are a brave lady letting your husband select the furniture.  We had a nightmare ourselves selecting furniture after floods - we went to various places as recommended. 
since you are in UK it might be worth looking at IKEA beds, patio bits, and make a note of name and check out Spain Murcia store re stock - can’t go there at moment as it’s not allowed but they deliver Catral around 49e. 

Chinese bazaar do a lot of sun loungers. 
Furniture stores on main road between Dolores and Almoradi lots of furniture shops.   Benijofar have a few furniture shops, neighbour got hers from shop near the junction opposite the lottery shop near Esthers Coffee Shop.  Also Sofa Factory near Aldi, Quesada they also do beds.

On way to Habaneros large Garcia’s store, do everything and very helpful. 
Quesada left of the arches have a few bed shops there, but I got ours from Garcia’s. 

I’m sure a lot more places and others members will I’m sure let you know.  I’ll try and get the names of the stores from my neighbour.

I’d also recommend DFS for your sofa when they reopen in the UK. You can choose your sofa and have it delivered from the San Javier store.

Yes. They were really efficient and, as I wasn’t in Spain when it arrived in store, they kept it until I was over. 

Really good service just hope it’s not a victim of the new Brexit rules.

That would be ideal if delivery dates could be agreed as we are buying for a holiday home and therefore we are limited for time.

I laughed out loud when I read Denver's first sentence - my thoughts exactly!  Personally, I'd have come over to sign for the house and left hubby at home, LOL!

I agree with Denver about the selection in Almoradi - there's a part of the CV-9026, which runs from Almoradi to Dolores, that's known locally as "Furniture Road", because it has large furniture shops on either side of the road, starting with 'Centro Hogar' at the Almoradi end, through to 'La Vila' at the Dolores end.  Tell hubby to look for the "Muebles" (furniture) signs.

If you want British beds, we bought ours from 'Beds Beds Beds' in Heradades, on the outskirts of Almoradi - they have a Facebook site:

Thanks Kim, I know what you mean! it’s so difficult at the moment with Covid, I am desperate to get some basic furnishings so when we can eventually fly over we have got somewhere to sleep and enjoy the holiday, it will have been a long time coming, I will check out the face book page, thanks again Deb
